Two weeks after the initial beta releases, Apple has issued iOS 13, iPadOS 13, tvOS 13, watchOS 13, and macOS Catalina Beta 2 to developers.

As you may recall, Apple announced iOS 13, iPadOS, tvOS 13, watchOS, and macOS Catalina (and more) at its WWDC 2019 press conference in early June.

The key release here, of course, is iOS 13, and Mehedi wrote up a nice hands-on preview of that system if you want a quick overview of the new features. For Beta 2, new features include SMB file share connectivity and APFS  drive support in the Files app, a Portrait Mode lighting slider in the Camera app, ScreenTime Downtime settings sync with Apple Watch, various tweaks to the in-box apps, an updated CarPlay Now Playing design, and more. As notably, Apple’s tvOS 13 Beta adds picture-in-picture (PiP) support.

The Beta 2 releases are available only to developers via the Apple Developer Program, which is $99 per year. Those interested in public betas of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, tvOS 13, and macOS Catalina will need to wait until July, as those releases are expected after the Beta 3 milestones are reached. Each product is expected to ship in September alongside new iPhones and other hardware.
