Google Stadia Will Support More Phones Starting This Week

Posted February 18, 2020 | Android | Games | Google Stadia | Stadia | Windows

Google is announcing a big upgrade to its game-streaming service, Stadia. So far, the company’s game streaming service only worked with a number of Pixel devices, which is obviously a big limitation.

The company is now expanding that list, introducing support for a total of 19 new phones. Combined with support for the Pixel 2, Pixel 3, and Pixel 4, that brings the total number of supported phones by Stadia to 22.

Google will ship support for the new phones on February 20. The new list of devices includes a total of 15 different Samsung phones, which is mainly made up of different variations of the Galaxy S8, S9, S10, S20, and Note 10:

  1. Samsung Galaxy S8
  2. Samsung Galaxy S8+
  3. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active
  4. Samsung Galaxy Note8
  5. Samsung Galaxy S9
  6. Samsung Galaxy S9+
  7. Samsung Galaxy Note9
  8. Samsung Galaxy S10
  9. Samsung Galaxy S10E
  10. Samsung Galaxy S10+
  11. Samsung Galaxy Note10
  12. Samsung Galaxy Note10+
  13. Samsung Galaxy S20
  14. Samsung Galaxy S20+
  15. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
  16. Razer Phone
  17. Razer Phone 2
  18. ASUS ROG Phone
  19. ASUS ROG Phone II

This is obviously a big boost for Stadia, considering the fact that a lot of Android users tend to have Samsung devices. The company will likely continue on expanding this list in the future, so this is obviously a really good upgrade for Stadia users.
