Firefox 68 is out for Windows, iOS, Mac, Linux. Android is on a different path.

App pick #2

Windows 1.11 is a (lame) Stranger Things tie-in

App pick #3

New Outlook on the web is heading out to everyone on Office 365 commercial

Enterprise pick of the week:  SQL Server 2008/2008 R2 have left the building

Extended support is over. This means no more security updates – unless you pay Microsoft or move your workload to Azure.

Enterprise pick No. 2:  MJFChat on Petri.com

I’m going to toot my own horn here and talk about a series of chats I’m doing over on Petri.com. These are for IT pros who want to learn something new and to ask questions of the invited guests. I’ve interviewed folks on everything from HoloLens, to Cosmos DB, to keeping up with Windows patching.  Check out the prerecorded ones in Petri.com/forums in the MJFChat area.

Beer pick of the week: Highland Park Brewery No Rest

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you still can’t drink a big hefty stout from time-to-time. No Rest is a 12% Imperial Stout with vanilla, coconut, and cedar. Developed in collab with Three Chiefs. I don’t think I’ve ever picked a brewery from Los Angeles, and I was very impressed with this one.
